Mexican isn't a language, it's a nationality for natives of México. There is a slight difference in the spanish spoken in Latin America and the Spanish spoken in España, like the usage of vostros and uds. when conjugating verbs. Correct if I'm wrong my Spanish friends.

It's like you're saying that Brazilian is a languge , that is incorrect , the correct name of the language is Portuguese , because of it's origin

The same happens with what you said , the language name is Spanish , not Mexican. We also know it as Castilian ( castellano in spanish), becasuse it was originated on the city of Castella, Spain.
