They made a pop remix but I don't think it's making much impact on radio or Itunes...

It doesn't need to be sent to Pop. The song has been out for months, and it has racked up no more than 40 spins there? If Pop were interested, it would have better preliminary plays.

Ciara said a second single was on the way, so surely that will be the intended mainstream single. "Ride" is doing what it needs to do.

Not all songs get huge spins as they come out or even low spins.

The reason Ride is gettin' those 30 something spins, which are increasin' by a daily bases, is cuz' of the remix I believe.

I didn't say huge spins, I said better. Plenty of songs that were not sent to Pop reached a higher amount of spins, getting into the Top 60-70, and lingering around there.

Basically, the point is Pop doesn't care for it. All it needs is a few promo performances before the album to achieve a better peak, and move on.

Fact is, since the remix is out the song went from havin' 5-7 spins to gettin' 34 spins as of today and it's increasin' everyday, so till it stops gaining your point is irrelevant TBH.

I agree. It's doing well considering no promotion whatsoever is taking place, however some performances would for sure make an impact. I have yet to understand thoroughly, though, why BET would ban the song or any performances on the network? The BET awards, especially with the viewership it got, could have been an excellent catalyst for it gaining more success.

It's really not irrelevant. My point is Pop doesn't care, which it gaining a low amount of spins in 3-4 days, proves. If I was saying Pop isn't playing it, then you'd make sense.
