I'm I the only one who likes her personality? As of right now i do not like her as an artist. But I do like her personality it reminds me of Pink. She has that "I don't care what people think" type of attitude. Very outspoken. I like that.

Maybe I'm wrong, but to me it comes off as very false. I never think, this is Ke$ha's personality. I always think, this is the personality that RCA and Ke$ha agreed she should adopt.
Hopefully she will surprise me in the future.

That's the dilemma she's now facing.
She branded herself as a trashy, just-woke-up-in-the-dumpster, alcohol-poisoning-is-fun, autotune-is-my-life party girl, and it worked...but now she wants to be taken seriously and be respected?
However she is NOT a one-hit bird.

My thoughts exactly.

She'll last. She seems intent on making party music, and the public (and kids especially) are always hungry for party music.

Hungry? They're starving + kesha's songs are catchy.
However, sometimes too catchy.

I think a lot of us are misinterpreting what she is saying here. I don't think she necessarily wants people to take her seriously as an artist, she has, after all, mentioned many times that her goal is to make fun pop music that entertains people, not pop music that is intended to be taken in a deep, contemplative, this is the state of the world, exploring my soul, sort of manner. What Ke$ha wants is respect, something entirely different than a desire to be taken seriously. I think what she really wants is for people to cast aside their perceptions of her as a flash-in-the-pan, hipster, who is good for a couple party songs, and embrace the fact that she is succeeding in a cut-throat industry and possibly has more to offer than many people will give her credit for; in other words give her a little respect.
Truthfully, people dismiss this girl as some vapid creation, and she does speak about wanting to make fun music that doesn't take itself too seriously, but give Animal half a chance and you will realize that several of the songs on there have a little more depth than you might have expected. I mean, she's by no means our generation's foremost intellectual, but not every song on Animal is a "party song" as so many assume. See: Animal, Blind, Dancing with Tears in My Eyes

Gaga stans in this thread please shut the **** up? Why are fans of certain artists always pressed over the next new thing coming up? Gaga stans hate Ke$ha the same way that Britney stans hate Gaga, and for all the same reasons. You can try to make light of her success and pretend she's irrelevant but it doesn't change the FACTS. She's successful whether you like or not.

I'm a BIG Britney fan who loves GaGa but doesn't care for Ke$ha. You are generalizing a bit...

You know, it should go without saying that those kinds of statements are "generally speaking". You cannot honestly think I literally believe that EVERY person in a certain fandom has the same exact mindset. Sit down.

I'm sure there is a more mature, smarter, less rude way to express your thoughts than to tell everyone in a certain fandom to shut the **** up.
And I'm already seated, I don't type standing up.

Of course, but none quite as direct. Simple delivery for simple minds.

It's not so much now, but the future....Ke$ha really needs to evolve as an artist because I don't see her appeal lasting much longer. Nobody takes her seriously because she always acts like an idiot...her (purposely) slurred words, the disheveled look, the horrible interviews where she admits she digs in trash for clothes. She has no respect for herself, and she doesn't even take herself seriously....how can she expect us to take her and her music seriously? LOL. I look at Ke$ha and I feel bad - because she is such a pretty girl who has to act like a tramp just to get her name out there. Her party records could be totally fine if it didn't always have to involve getting wasted most of the time. You can totally tell she doesn't really want to have records released about partying after she basically begged for 'Stephen' to be released. I think Ke$ha is totally fake - especially when you hear songs from Kesha Sebert.
