Ashley Tisdale - Guilty Pleasure. I really expected it to be a hit after the success of Headstrong Leona Lewis - Echo. Same as GP. I expected more success. Mariah Carey - MOAIA. Christina Aguilera - Bionic. I don't think anyone thought it'd flop so bad...
Hits:
Ke$ha - Animal. TiK ToK was catchy, but I never thought she'd be that successful Lady Gaga - The Fame. Same as Animal
Umbrella was a huge hit, one of the biggest hits of the last decade. Everybody was shocked when GGGB first week sales disappointed. At the end, the album turned out to be one of the best pop albums selling more than 8M copies worldwide and having an amazing longevity with 3 #1 hits and 3 4X Platinum hits (Don't Stop The Music, Take A Bow, Umbrella, Disturbia). The album also blown Rihanna's career into much higher levels, making her one of the most popular current international stars.
Flops:
Christina Aguilera - Bionic. I genuinely believed that this album will not flop and actually surprise everybody. I guess I was wrong this time.
Bionic - Christina Aguilera (hopefully it begins to pick up)
Brandy - Human (incredible album that was highly overlooked)
Fearless - Jazmine Sullivan (see above)
First Love - Karina Pasian (definitely should have done better)
Ms. Kelly - Kelly Rowland (amazing album, better not see the same pattern with the next album, though the next one is shaping up to be even better)
She Wolf: This is like the best album ever, and of course close minded people and crap label didn't help this to do how it should've had. It's such a great Pop-Dance-Electronic album with latin influences, and brought Shakira to a new different level. :heart: It should have sold like 5M at least. I hope with the new tour, she can still sell a lil bit more

I wanted this album to do well but I blame her label.
I never thought these album would be as successful as they are:
Usher- Confessions
Mariah Carey - The Emancipation of Mimi
Lady Gaga - The Fame (especially after its intial peak)
Taylor Swift - Fearless
I never thought these would flop:
Kevin Rudolf - In The City This album had the song of the summer on it!
Timbaland- Shock Value 2
Sean Kingston - Tommorow (or something like that) Same as ITC
What comes to mind for me as a major success is Alanis Morissette's "Jagged Little Pill." The label, supposedly, would've been ecstatic if it sold 250,000 copies, but in actuality, it over 16 million just in the US.
Flops : Bionic. Such a masterpiece, but it lacks a really catchy song, which is why it flopped
Success: The Fame Monster : I never expected an 8 song album to sell 1.5 million copies in America. I was sure it was going to flop
Success - Love Angel Music Baby: I didn't know Gwen would get so huge solo with that album
Flop - Fantasy Ride: I thought Ciara had it in the bag with Love Sex Magic and then releasing the hot track Work, but Work flopped and the era was ruined The album has amazing songs
Such an underrated masterpiece
