18|THE MUSIC VIDEO
The video submitted should be the artist's best video, and have that defining moment in their career. Jake - Rihanna Disturbia
Quote:
I chose Disturbia because it's was Rihanna's move from typical pop star to something more. She became more than that girl you'd hear on the radio and would have a lacklauster video for the hit. She took the camera alongside Anthony Mandler to create this dark, gothic, pop-masterpiece, which would go on to define her career in the process. She was doing this weird and creative side to Pop-Culture way before you could even say gaga.
I choose Fighter, the artistic vision in this video is beautiful. You can almost stop at any part and take a frame. Everything is amazing, the editing, the costuming, the direction, etc... She really hit a high point in this video with me because it is super impressive.
Single Ladies, it was an iconic moment for Beyonce as an artist... The cinematography, the editing, and choreography was classic and will become legendary one day. She didnt need to go overboard with colors and costumes... Just 3 girls, black leotards, and pure talent.
From start to finish, "Honey" is probably Mariah Carey's best music video. There is action, hotness, and probably a stunt double. FPRIVATE "TIt was the first music video to show off Mariah's sexual side, something that had never been seen before in a Mariah Carey music video. It starts off with Mariah being held hostage and escaping by jumping into a swimming pool. After that, she escapes them using a watercraft and the video is intercut with a very hot Mariah singing and dancing. Overall, its just a very fun and creative video and no one can't say they weren't shocked when it came out. This is, by far, Mariah Carey's best music video.
