Wel,, I personally love The END and think that any award that they got was semi-deserved considering how much of an impact they had on the charts last year.

Yep, you're right and I don't see next year would be different, Grammy is a popularity contest now, like the VMA's or the Teen Choice Awards.

Hopefully they can redeem themseleves and nominate people like Sade and Alicia in several categories

I don't think the Grammy voters will do the same thing they did this past year. Sometimes they love to reward their vets and critical darlings, and sometimes they want to reward commercial success. I cannot imagine someone like Ke$ha in AOTY just because some of her songs did well on the charts.

Her album is generic and she can't sing. I think she will face the same fate as Katy Perry --- a nomination or two in the secondary categories. I think Justin Bieber will be the Jonas Brothers nominee of the year and be nominated for only BNA. Can any of you really see Justin Bieber in Best Male Pop Vocal Performance or Best Pop Vocal Album?

I think Janelle Monae could be a surprise nominee, but I'm not betting on her. I would rather it happens and then I become surprised.

I would hate for the Grammys to be based on chart success again. Otherwise, we will not see anyone other than commercial acts winning, and I think that's beyond bogus. Leave that to the VMAs, AMAs, BET Awards, etc.
