I can't believe they picked "What Have You Done for Me Lately" as her highest song And at #300something! Despicable. "When I Think of You," "Let's Wait Awhile," "Love Will Never Do," "If," "Any Time, Any Place" and "Together Again" are all more deserving. And of course that's really only accounting for significance.
Why are "I Could Never Take The Place Of Your Man" and "When You Were Mine" before "Little Red Corvette", "When Doves Cry", "Kiss", "Purple Rain", and "If I Was Your Girlfriend"? I was for sure expecting PR, WDC, or Kiss to be higher than they are.
And where's "1999", "I Would Die 4 U", "The Most Beautiful Girl In The World", and "I Wanna Be Your Lover"? Any of those are better than the two highest placed songs.
