Now that talent has been snubbed.. who's the next potential 2 time oscar winner with a real chance like this case ?

As much as i don't think JLaw deserved her 1st win, she may be the closest

Cate Blanchett had no chance with a 90+ mc score movie last year (1critic win) so I dont know.. Kate Winslet is also an option.

But talents won? Huppert is a legend And Emma is the new JLAW since Jlaw has been starring in the flop movies lately

I'm mad at the Globes for not voting for Natalie but woo Isabelle deserves it! So happy for her. Emma is winning the Oscar for sure now.

I agree he's winning, but it's not really the best comparison. That race was close; Jlaw got the Bafta too. Aaron was just so random. Maybe Michael will take the extra spot.

Cate had no chance because she had just won recently.
I'm sure that she'll be the next actress to get a 3rd Oscar

I think that Kate has the most potential to get a 2nd lead actress Oscar, though if JLaw's projects with Darren Aronofsky and Steven Spielberg are very good, she could come very close.

Natalie Portman will win next year for Annihilation. She'll be snubbed for several factors this year and they will want to make up to her next year.

The whole awards season become a whole lot boring after the Globes for me. If BAFTA snubs Natalie tomorrow too, I am just gonna stop caring and enjoy the ride

Annihilation doesn't seem to be a real oscar baiting movie, Darren Aronofsky should have directed Jackie and put it on the same level as Lincoln : real BP and BD contender with a bigger credibility. She plans to do the biopic of Ruth Bader Ginsburg right after her pregnancy but she wants a female director so I don't know.

Same, anyway the Huppert stans would feel the same if Natalie won so I guess one base needs to lose

J Law has the perfect directors right now, plus it would be the perfect way for her to get back on the right track after her recent works.

Kate's upcoming projects don't seem really interesting in all fairness, even though I like her.

But an Oscar is an Oscar. You do not literally see "2x Academy Award Winner for Leading Actress [insert name]" in movie promos tho so I do not get why it matters so much other than stats to win 2 leading oscars

But to answer you, I do not literally see anyone getting a 2nd lead win right now, but Emma Stone might pull off a double win for Battle of the Sexes next year if AMPAS will award Talent again
