Univision is taking the biggest L of their career, you think? They should ask the public or conduct a survey. Maybe I'll give it a try, I did a Hispanic Upbringing 2.0 thread but maybe I'll ask the mods to open it back up or something. But the term upbringing is more: Latino in general but you're referring to Latin novelas so it makes sense to do another thread. I only know this because my mother watches Telemundo and Univision and everytime I'm doing work or something, I see her watching it sometimes. As I'm typing this, Silvana Sin Lana is on and the next series is about to begin since it's close to 9pm here. Heck even some Americans even watch Novelas on Telemundo, it's not just the Latino community.

Eh, I don't really watch Novelas on Univision or mostly in general due to the fact that it's the same goddamn storyline Televisa reuses. The only producers that good productions in Televisa is Juan Osorio (Niruka's baby daddy and the son he had with Niruka was in two of his productions, sounds shady I know) like his recent novela he did was an original story and it actually made sense, Rosy Ocampo spices it up a bit, Emilo Larrosa I. and I'm giving the W to Giselle Gonzalez (the one who produces La Candidata) I just research the **** out of it because it interests me.

Telemundo is more diverse-oriented and has more originality to it. La Fan is gonna begin on the 17th with Angelica Vale (known for her works in La Fea Mas Bella, the longest novela I've ever heard: 300 episodes nearly a year of episodes). It looks really comical based on the promos.

I didn't know this but now that I think of it, it makes sense. No wonder every novela starts with "Televisa presenta". Televisa novelas are garbage. I literally was complaining to my friends the other day how garbage Mexican novelas were recently, especially since I started watching Brazilian novelas, I can't even watch Televisa anymore. Telemundo has always been my favorite of the two channels. Although Estrella TV >>

Anyways, I still use Univision for noticias tho so ponte las pilas Univision.

They both suck I never watch any of those channels because they are so last novella I watched was destilando amor(la de la gaviota ). And I watched La reina del sur on Netflix because my sis was praising and it was amazing but it wasn't corny like novelas. It was more like a tv series which is what they should do. Novelas are so make them more like tv series and I'm sure people will start getting interested on them. Take a look @ club de cuervos(the Netflix Spanish show) and compare to a novela Club de cuervos is fresh, current, smart, relatable and more realistic.

Oh wow. The only Spanish forums I'm familiar with are Vertelevisivos (think Survivorsucks but with Spaniards and more racism) and a NSFW one that will remain nameless that I go to for the Latin actor & footballer nudes. Can't believe I never heard of the Univision one, socorro.

This tea. I can't tell a difference between the channels, quality wise. I just flip through all the Spanish networks and if I see a hot guy on the screen I leave it on that one. Sorry if that sounds shallow but it's the truth.

I love that Azteca airs international reality shows but the rest of their programming sucks. I watched La Isla and now I'm watching Desafio India (Survivor Colombia) on that channel. Telemundo tried launching a Big Brother series but they gave up on it after their first season flopped in the US. This is yalls fave?
