It is going to be interesting to see how Trump goes down tbh.
I can't see him being an amazing President. Half the country hates his guts (and not in the usual kind of way with a President.. This is far more toxic) and he doesn't seem to even want to unite those people so it's not like he's going to be seen as a unifying President like many of the great ones are.
If he keeps the country this divided in 2020 it could be a real door for a decent Democratic candidate to position themselves as that unifying figure. If he did lose in 2020 I do wonder if people would look back on him more favourably.
Hillary supporters wouldn't go third. They would either hold their noses and vote for him or write her in. They're democrats. Either way, third parties won't see glory for another 10 or 20 years.

No I meant if Bernie ran third party, he would get a lot of support. But he wouldn't now that he is basically the most famous Democrat Senator.
As for Democrats I don't think there will be much fragmentation come 2020. Trump is the target they all want to tear down so whoever gets the nomination will get the support of the anti-Trumpers.
It should be much easier than the 2016 primary, anyway. It might be more competitive, but I don't think it'll be as divisive in nature.
Bernie won't go third party, this is his do or die moment regarding the Presidency and the DNC-channeled coin would be too good to pass up. He's been on Trump's neck and will not let him off easy if he has the chance.
Jill ha 1% of the vote time is up. Enjoy that surge while it lasts, henny.

can you imagine if Bernie gets Hillary'd and tons of people write in Hillary's name instead of voting for him in 2020 (when he's inevitably the Democratic nominee)
