I'm not saying this song is or isn't going to continue to rise, but day after day people bitch and moan about it flopping.
How many times does it have to be said? Mid to end of December, new music and songs in the lower Top 40 take a hit in their spins to make way for Christmas music. That transitions into year end countdowns/recurrents getting played more which also cuts into spins for newer songs and those on the lower rungs of the chart.
There is only so much programming time for songs in a day. When older songs get played more (see: Make Me getting new spins,) those spins have to come from somewhere. The spins for these older songs will decrease again eventually and free back up those spins for current music. (It's already seen a small post-Christmas recovery and although today's update was pretty stagnant, yesterday was the literally the last day of 2016.)
Give radio a couple weeks to get back into the regular swing of things and then we'll see where Slumber Party is at. It might start falling off the airplay charts or it could start growing again, but you can't judge a newer song by how it performs during the weird holiday/year end period.
