I have no doubt that there's some truth to this, but this has happened to ALL of our faves at some point or other and nothing has ever been this bad, and no artist has shown so little attempt to try and make it work.

Oh my god it's not that hard. Any professional can do it. Lots of people don't rely on ear pieces. That's NOT an excuse for any of her foolishness

Yes she would, the sound is CLEARLY fine on stage or else the dancers wouldn't have known what to dance to when. She could have also stopped the track, figured it out or just dont it acapella... she's a vocalist, isn't she?

It's always only Mariah delivering tragic, failed live performances and there's always some pathetic excuse to go with them. You barely hear about these type of issues coming from other prominent artists. It's hilarious how lazy she is; on Ellen, she had the audacity to blame HER being late to her OWN concerts on other people. The issues that happened in this performance stem for her team, and because she's apart of that team, because she is the face of this team, she will always carry responsibility for technical issues. These issues could have been prevented had she been smarter about choosing her team and organising things better. I'll wait for her to come up with some ******** excuse begging the general public to believe that she's perfect and she's entirely not at fault. Some ********. Lol.

Her fans blaming the disaster on anything but her ughh. It was damn obvious that they accidentally played the instrumental and there's no way Mariah can carry the song live without backing vocals or lipsyncing, that's why she had a meltdown and completely gave up. Did you even hear the two lines she attempted? She sounded extremely hoarse. The song is way beyond her current range.

Then why would singers need monitors and earpieces then? Dancers work differently than singers do. There's something wrong technically and the extreme cold weather wouldn't have helped her. We all know she's a perfectionist and her voice is too fragile for the temperature.

Lol this is ********. She didn't do sound check so noone made sure the right version of Emotions played. Aka the one with vocals she could lip sync to. She tried singing live a couple of times and sounded bad. Interesting how the texhnical issue magically disappeared with next song. Which she also poorly lip synced to.
