The gag is Hillary and Bill are a team so it's not like Robby made all the decisions. He was probably just the fall guy. Hillary and everyone else in this damn world was sure it was a landslide victory coming.
===
I may be wrong, but I just don't see an affair being discussed heavily. We just have to keep reminding ourselves that 2018/2020 will be dominated by the economy, race relations, and foreign affairs. But maybe I'm just being too hopeful.

I was until the Comey letter, TBH. That was when everything started to really tighten.

Does the country have a problem with gender? Yes.
But to say she lost because she's a woman is just a false statement simply because majority of the country is not sexist. Half of all votes cast was for either Hillary or Jill Stein. Two women. And a lot of Gary Johnson voters rejected Trump because of his sexist comments. Give the country some more credit. I know it's going to ****, but remember the 70M+ who voted against him.

This trash country doesn't deserve any credit at all. More like, it deserves Trump, and ALL the damage he is about to wreak on the world just for voting him in. America is, and forever will be, a laughingstock for what is sure to be the darkest age our country has ever seen.

Except it's been confirmed the staggering hubris of her campaign.
That's who you supported. That's on your conscious. Someone who didn't value every vote - factually. Someone who literally handed America to a fascist with neo-nazi ties.
At one point y'all gotta look up from the sand and realize your mistakes. We're gonna be here in 2020 with some Joe Biden nomination overseen by Debbie Wasserman-Schultz with a focus on pleasing donors' interests and little ground game and y'all swearing "it'll work".
It's sad how textbook and obvious the mistakes were and, instead of people confronting them, you have people on here wishing death on poor people "cause they deserve it" and saying minorities and women aren't allowed to run anymore. That's why the ****ing Left abandoned y'all and have been disillusioned to politics as a whole for years. Are y'all serious?
A team literally ignored proven calls for help in 3 key states they lost by small margins and yet it's poor people who take the blame, with people in here wishing death on them. Sociopath teas.
New rule - in a post-HRC loss, no one white/straight/male/centrist can run. Y'all gotta sit out from now on. Y'all took the L and caused this so y'all need to sit in the corner while people who you ****ed clean up your messes.

Now is the best time to have an affair/scandal in politics.
You're running against TRUMP

I hate Trump and all, but some of my ancestors that were slaves in this country and my other ancestors that fought in the Civil War might disagree with you.

An affair wouldn't be a big deal for a man. It didn't stop Bill or Trump, for that matter.
For a woman, the rules are different. This is America after all. If Hillary was demonized for emails, you can imagine what an affair with a married man would do. Women also do not like that. Kamala is not going to be able to win imo because of this skeleton in her closet.

Also cackling at that user throwing neoliberalism around like a negative buzzword to Clinton when Trump has literally made his empire from it and, (despite his dislike of a couple of trade deals) looks set to further expand neoliberalism in America - particularly by trying to tap into Russia. DISASTER.

Ain't nothing radically changed in 8 years. The country that elected Obama is the one that rejected Hillary and for the Dems to survive they need to examine why.
It's funny cause a lot of people on the left were saying this - win or lose, the center would find some way to stay put and not move to the Left as they needed to. Win? Pivot more right, it's what the people liked! Lose? Um, we were FAR too radical, pivot right!
Hillary lost because her team was complacent. That's really all there is to it - the margin was that small. It's sucks so many people will have to struggle because of one woman and her elite team's ignorance, but hopefully the suits in DC realize this and remember every. single. vote. has. to. be. earned.
I mean people in here even said "poor Hillary having to earn these simpletons' votes" countless times when she hit the election trail. See beyond your hatred of poor people (which IS a race + gender issue too) and realize what the **** a public servant is meant to do.
|
Let me start off by saying this: I'm black. I'm from the South. So I know about being surrounded by drugs, crime, poor education, poverty, etc.
The GAG is that the poorest individuals in the country are black and Hispanic, and that most conservative Republicans who make up the coalition are college educated and do own most of the wealth in the country. So for liberals/Democrats to be "anti-poor" or whatever is a myth. The Democratic Party is and has been for over a century, the party of the poor people.
WHITE PEOPLE AREN'T the marginalized citizens, and we need to stop acting like Hillary needed the simpletons. She got them. It's the elite, selfish upper middle class, biggity individuals who we have to seek out.
And poor white people are first to get governmental assistance over minorities. Which party has fought to guarantee that stays the same? DEMOCRATS. Just food for thought.

Do you forget how deeply this election was bogged down by the victim blaming on Hillary's part due to BILL's extramarital affair? Harris will be utterly destroyed and her affair will be dragged through the media, because Republicans run on a platform of promoting family values. And it works. As long as it rallies the white Evangelicals to come out and vote against women, gays, and people of color, anything goes.
Plus, there's also the fact that the media is kissing Trump's ass right now to make up for all the ****-talking they did during the campaign, so they're obviously going to be on his side unless they're left-leaning like MSNBC.

You need to take a long hard look at the dictionary definitions of the words "literally" and "factually". Because literally nothing you said is literal or factual. If you disagree, please point me to a link where she admitted to not valuing every vote (if you can't provide such evidence, then all you have is subjective interpretation—which isn't factual).
Point me to a source where she admits to working to elect Trump so she can "[hand] America to a fascist with new-nazi ties" (if you can't, then same scenario I described before).

Which, y'know, neoliberal Hillary would have still ruined tons of people lives, but with Trump we're like really ****ed, more-so them Americans lead by egomaniacal capitalist warhawks usually are. Like we're now even realizing we're ****ed and a joke as a country as opposed to just everyone else around the world thinking that about our iron fist throughout the world.
Hillary will be fine though. Back to her mansions. I know having to work to help poor people killed her inside. Poor neighborhoods in Michigan were begging for her team for help to campaign and she... I don't know, vanished for like a week straight? That's what happens when a party elects someone more obsessed with power and the glory than helping the people.
It's crazy to think her team literally knew she was doing poorly and losing margins and instead of campaigning, she wanted to play mind games with Trump. Down in MI? So her team sent people to ****ing Iowa, hoping it'd lure Trump's there to campaign instead. One of the sloppiest, messiest, more ungrateful political campaigns in history. It'll be a history lesson for the books.

1 - Bill + Obama both got us in no wars. There's a difference between military intervention and a straight up war where we have to spend trillions of dollars on nothing. Bill had a history of imposing sanctions on Iraq and fighting terrorism there without once having to start a war.
2- Yes, I agree. Her ground game was far from perfect. She's not the one who books the rallies though. Her campaign managers do that. When did she vanish for a week? I only remember her taking 5 days off when she had pneumonia, that's it. She was out there working round the clock. One of the emails leaked showed that she sometimes holds so many rallies and fundraisers and events in one day she ends up barely able to walk by the end of the day. She wasn't lazy but her campaign strategists relied too much on polling which doesn't measure enthusiasm.
3- Hillary's career in public service was rewarded with the most vicious campaign trail she could possibly be in with both Bernie and Trump and their followers attacking her relentlessly on her character rather than policies and then having to deal with the whole lockherup nonsense. Having foreign powers interfere and a corrupt FBI director do that too and people eat it up. God knows she hasn't been treated fairly this election and even after losing she stayed gracious, posed for pictures with the people, attended charity events and just wrote a letter to her supporters today. Pretty sure whatever's gonna happen in the next 4 years is not to blame on her when she ran the most progressive general election campaign ever (2nd most progressive campaign next to Bernie's) and people still said no.
4- Hillary has helped a TON of poor. Not sure where you're coming with that when Trump never does any charity while she's donated 15% of her net worth to charity so far. The fact that the poor thought the former would be on their side more when Hillary fought hard to get them universal healthcare in the early nineties, when she didn't have to, and when she failed she still fought to at least get millions of children healthcare and succeeded. And the poor still went with the billionaire who's only ever looked after himself because Benghazi emails.

Robby Mook was adorable but she needed a completely new team in 2016 that had nothing to do with 2008 aside from Podesta the longtime trustee.

True. But I also seem to have caught how these Rust Belt voters are. They want change every few years. The same people who voted for Bill turned and voted for Bush and then voted for Obama and then Romney/Trump.
If Trump is going to cause a havoc and take away Social Security, health care, women's rights, etc. like we believe he is, any Democrat who runs of a platform of economic prosperity will win. But we just have to see how these people respond to Trump first.
