Rules1. I'm doing this a little differently this time around; you ONLY sign up with your name. DON'T choose an album until the sign ups are over. You are free to think about it up until that point. The duration of sign ups will be up to you guys. I know I started this a bit late.
2. Rather than albums being randomly assigned, you will be randomly put into pears (
) and you will recommend an album to each other. Any contestant, mentor, or judge from this season (current or former) can participate.
3. If you sign up, YOU HAVE TO LISTEN TO THE ALBUM YOU WERE GIVEN. Even if you only listen up to the first chorus of each song, you should at least give your album a fair chance. Inability to comply with this rule will result in not being allowed in the next one of these. <3
4. Since you have to listen to whole albums, do not make the albums too long. As a general rule, avoid deluxe editions and albums with more than 15 tracks, but we can go on a case-by-case basis. You can do EPs if you'd like.
5. Be nice to each other, y'all. I'm gonna tell you right now to sugar coat things. People probably recommend an album to people because they really like it, but if you don't, you can find a more eloquent way to say so than "this is trash", "who would listen to this" etc. Y'all are writers, after all.
6. Have fun, y'all! I really suggest posting your thoughts about the album in the thread, or on your partner's walls/PMs if you'd prefer. The best part of this is seeing how other people react to the album you recommended.
(side note: I am going to be a partner to someone IF we end up with an odd number of sign ups.)
