Pears Batch 1

Rats
UFO & funnellegs:
The story was a little odd to me, seeing as it begins with you choosing to run away from somebody but then straight after in the pre-chorus you were longing for them again. Either this is about somebody super bi-polar who can't make up their mind (likely since UFO was a part of this) or it's just a little mixed up. Apart from this, I really quite enjoyed the rest. I was just a little stumped as to how that was supposed to make sense story-wise (I'm sure it does somehow but it didn't feel completely explained for me), but the lyricism I did enjoy thoroughly.
PhreshDiamond & Abyssy:
This is pretty much the first ever diss/comedy song that's ever made me laugh. The way you took such absurd ideas and yet still made punchlines with them is the ultimate kii, you did this really well. I was worried that it would go over Temporal and Cupid's heads with some of the references, but everybody seemed to enjoy it! I'm shocked, puzzled, and I love it.
XL & Speezy:
The whole mirror mirror on the wall Disney thing + the self empowerment theme was all a bit cheesy for me. I felt like the concept was rather surface level in that aspect. A few of the general ideas were rather average and banal also, such as the whole looking at yourself in the mirror thing, scars, easing the pain, shout it out loud, etc. I think you kinda missed the mark here.
Corsola & jpow:
The concept is obviously very strong but I think at times the story overpowers the actual lyricism. While a strong concept is good, it should be more of a support for a song, rather than the entire backbone. There are many points in the song when I think "oh, that's a cool story element" but very few moments when I think "oh, that's a cool lyric" which eventually becomes a problem because this is a songwriting competition in the end and not a storytelling competition. While I did enjoy this, I have to kind of warn you about this because, while you obviously have a talent at coming up with stories and are super creative, you kinda need to worry just as much about the lyrics especially as we continue to advance in this game.
SaintWest & Kunst:
I thought this was pretty cute for the most part. I enjoyed a lot of the house related details scattered throughout the song, I thought they were quite well used and made the song quite interesting. I think what let this down a little bit was that some of the lines in the latter half were rather awkward, particularly lines 5-8 of the second verse and the "I forgot my address today" part. Though there were some parts like this which could've used a bit more work or switching up, I still felt like this was a good entry.
MattyTacos & Thecheetahwings:
I'm not even entirely sure what a 'permanent holiday' is supposed to be or represent. I thought as a reoccurring theme that was rather weak. The story seemed to lack focus and detail to actually make it enjoyable or interesting, and the concept itself was a rather weak one in the parts where it shined through. I just feel like this entry is really quite a throwaway in both of your discographies.
beatinglikeadrum & RihsusChrist(ATG):
The verses themselves aren't actually that bad - while they are a little confusing and don't seem to make total sense with the story at times, the imagery there was actually quite nice and poetic. But, the bridge as discussed in the thread really drags this entry down into the depths. It makes it even more bizarre and make even less sense. Ultimately, this was far from a match made in heaven.

BITCH this is so true tho a;kfjas;kgadm
Basically it was about someone who HAS moved on but then has a "brain freeze" and is like wait a min bitch nah I still love u i still miss u blah blah blah etc etc **** me daddy etc etc etc, that's basically the general gist of it
It's basically like a reverse Perfect Illusionated warholian experience.
But thank you for liking it! We really did work hard on it

Well, let's just hope the heteros like disco music then.
But seriously tho, I need C4 to be more than just an ATRL-Pitchfork fad like EMOTION was.

Carly can go write for bandcamp artists or something. If I never hear her again, it won't be a loss for me.
