Funny how the closed primary states didn't affect Trump or Obama in their primaries. That excuse only applies to Sanders, magically.
Doesn't look strong enough to beat Hillary even without closed primaries.

Bernie was never going to beat Hillary either way, especially with her strong AA support. Obama was still an incredibly popular incumbent and Clinton wrapped herself around him. It's not just about one thing.
But it doesn't change the fact that most of Bernie's support came from independents and a lot of them were shut out of the voting process. Not saying he would have won.
Plus again, a lot of Clinton's support also came from people worried about Trump and felt she was more electable. Polling showed that most people liked both choices, would have been fine if either won, but ultimately went with Clinton.

Um, Bernie lost Florida, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Nevada, Virginia, Georgia, Ohio, Arizona, etc. to Clinton. How would you expect him to win a general election if he lost almost every single battleground state in the primaries? If Hillary couldn't get those, Bernie would not be able either.
Plus, there was a 0% chance for Bernie to win Florida or Nevada with his comments on Castro. Trump would have kept these on loop during the GE campaign.

135 million people vote in the general election. Less than 30 million people voted in the democratic primaries. Hardly comparable.
I love how people try to attack Bernie as if he destroyed the democratic party. It wasn't under Bernie when dems lost almost 1000 seats across the country.

Nominating more of the same will only lead to the same results.
