Aww, Camila is such a selfish, self-serving whiny mess. As predicted. Love your hair, hope you flop.

The reality is she wasn't a team player. She is the reason for all of this mess. PERIOD.

Lmao not by much. Camila isn't some kind of A-lister. Not many people outside of 5th harmony know who she is. She wasn't able to help the girls sell an album. Her current single only rose to the top 10 after being priced at 69 cents.
Zara Larson got a hit in the US, but she's practically irrelevant here(no shade). The situation is is also true for Camila.

dddd right? If Bebe Rexha (whose feature hits have been way bigger than Camila's) was also in a girl group with a huge WW top 5 hit that had the biggest video on VEVO this year and she decided to leave the group to focus on her solo career, I'd still say she's a huge idiot. Especially when it comes to 5H, they have a lot more notoriety being the only girl group to have American success this decade. Being featured on another artist's hit song indicates nothing. "But nobody bought Bad Things bc of MGK!!!1!!" Well yeah, but nobody bought Me Myself & I because of G-Eazy and it was still a big hit. Some songs smash without any of the artists on it being particularly big. Camila's two features doing pretty well on American pop radio do not indicate her potential as a solo artist in terms of touring, album sales, international appeal, etc. She's gonna get lost in the sea of other solo artists that have moderate WW hits trying to break through (Zara Larsson, Dua Lipa, Alessia Cara, Hailee Steinfeld, and many more). Her stans will get a huge humbling sooner than later.

And was Cabello replaceable (an idea to launch a search for a new singer via a reality show was discussed and shot down) or is it wiser for Fifth Harmony as a brand to move forward with four? After all, members Lauren Jauregui and Normani Kordei had also announced projects outside the group, and had been asserting more independence of late -- Jauregui's recent collaboration with Marian Hill and coming out as bisexual, for instance.
sounds familiar

It's crazy she thought she could go solo this soon when they are 1/5 as popular and accomplished as Destiny's Child and PCD. They have really only had 2 actually success songs and 2 moderate she pissed of a majority of her fanbase. She's young so she'll learn the hard way.
|
This is nothing like Nicole's situation. Nicole signed a solo deal with Interscope in exchange for her agreement to be the vocalist for PCD. She was going to release a solo album eventually. If Interscope and management cared, they would have advised her to wait after 2 albums like Fergie did and made sure to push this sisterly "Survivor" image Beyonce did for image-repairing purposes after the backlash she received for kicking out 2 members. Also, Nicole put hard work into PCD making it a priority during its 2 eras and she didn't leave the group. In fact, all the other Dolls quit before her and she stayed because she was loyal to Robin Antin who gave Nicole her big break.
And the first quoted post is just weird. There was no "silent treatment" for Nicole (even Jessica who had the most distant relationship with Nicole was very professional and they got along fine) and there was no reality show to replace Nicole.

Beyonaisse is right. 5h are the biggest us gg in years, and were racking up awards and hits. They needed one more album and 2 more hits to establish themselves. Then they could have moved to releasing albums every other year and Camilla could do what she wanted. Now its up in the air.
She only has 1 million more followers than Lauren, shes not that much more popular than them. Zara Larrson who is on her label has a top 20 us hit and multiple worldwide smashes and still cant get an album out. What tf does camilla have?

No, she's not going against LA Reid and Epic and they're not backing 5H. In fact, it says Epic is investing heavily in Camila's solo career and has been sending her to studio sessions with top producers like Benny Blanco and Diplo and they might not even give the other 4 a third album.
Billboard's source says Camila did go to sit-downs with a therapist but they became a scenario of 4 against 1 and were very unproductive. It also says she instead opted to have one-on-one conversations with each member during their tour bc that was more effective than group conversations.
She couldn't stay in the group if she still wanted to make solo music: "The group's management made it clear that if she wanted to make any more solo music, it wouldn't work for them”
It also points out the massive decline of TMG on radio after the way they horribly handled the announcement and it questions if 5H is getting backlash, not Camila like y'all say.
It also mentions jealousy going on in the group and how Camila was blindsided by their statement.
And to finish, something to get y'all mad:
"One thing that isn't being debated, however, is Cabello's potential as a breakout star. While it's not unusual for one member of a group to try his or her hand at a solo career -- even while still attached to the group, as Beyoncé did while still in Destiny's Child -- it is rather uncommon for someone to stand out in a collective as much as Cabello has over the past years. In terms of collaborations, her top 20 hit with Mendes highlighted Cabello's breathy delivery, while her authoritative turn on Machine Gun Kelly's "Bad Things” launched the fledgling rapper into the Hot 100 top 10. Yet Cabello has also demonstrated -- through her hilariously self-deprecating Snapchat antics, revealing interview quotes and intimate interactions with her 3.2 million Twitter followers -- a superstar's knack for connecting with fans and standing out from her surroundings."

Beyoncé did not kick out anyone. Much like Camila, Letoya and Latavia got their own manager and lawyer and tried to snake their way and own terms in for the group despite doing little to nothing and parading around in tour buses with Jagged Edge members doing whatever. It backfired on them. Bey herself had nothing to do with their removal. She was only 17 then She was just as blind-sided by it as they were and the whole situation sent her into deep depression to the point where she would not eat or leave the house + her and her boyfriend had just broken up at the time.

600k more, not even 1M. And followers don't really mean nothing. I mean Selena Gomez has over 100M followers. Austin Mahone has 10M followers on both Instagram and Twitter and can't get a moderate hit and so on

Well said. I would say the difference with her tho is that she already has a loyal following/fanbase of her own unlike any of these artists. Can I ask you what changed your mind about Camila by the way? I feel like just last week you were one of her troll supporters.... or was it Lauren that you always liked?

- Camila and her camp wanted the group to go on hiatus so that she could pursue her solo career.
- Her album is almost already complete and she's booked until January for studio time with a probably single release in Q1.
