Martin and her other co-writers have stated that she still writes most of the song and also melody herself but I think that Rose didn't influence her as much and that Taylor was more comfortable with her while I imagine that Martin would really push his ideas. Of course this is just speculation and maybe it was because 1989 was her first pop album. She wanted to make sure that everything was perfect and thought that Martin's experience with pop albums would give her that. I love 1989 but I just miss recognizing Taylor's songwriting all over it.

Max Marten does not write Lyrics, he's mainly a melody writer, he may edit a verse or bridge and ask lord to rewrite it , but he doesn't actually write any lyrics
If you want more evidence of my claim, you can read about his work with Katy Perry and Dr rape
in all of his work descriptions , they would say that Max and Dr rape come up with a track, Katy and Bonnie McKee hear it, go to an other room and write a top line ( Lyrics+Melody ) to go with it.
Taylor talks about this in blank space
She has the melody and Some lyrics ready, Max and his minion hear it and go develop a melody, background vocals around it, Taylor said " I go into a corner and write the rest of the song"
Jack said that he sends her the tracks and she writes the top lines for them
Imogene wrote an entire post about clean and how taylor wrote the lyrics alone
Now, i think lord has been writing to tracks in her POP songs to challenge herself, when she has a track, she's restricted to a certain time frame to write the song, when she does not write to a track, her songs seem over long and feature the same tropes( staccato notes are found in all the bridges of the Speak Now songs)
