This reminded me of American Life for some reason. An album that relied on war imagery, but does not actually discuss war in great detail. I think that's why so many people (including me at one point) think American Life is about war when it is actually about Madonna, her family, upbringing and fame in response to war

I'd have to agree. BS is so much more concise. I get that Erotica isn't supposed to be clearly defined but I appreciate BS ha cohesiveness more. Almost* every track on BS is just the right length (*lookin at you I'd Rather Be Your Uncredited Feature), whereas many cuts on Erotica tend to overstay their welcome, especially songs on the latter half.

I admit, though, that Erotica has higher highs than BS. Title track, D&D, Rain >>>

Madonna was in a question in Celebrity Mastermind yesterday. I'm paraphrasing but it was something like, "which French designer became famous for designing Madonna's 1990 Blond Ambition tour outfits including the infamous cone bra?". The contestant is an old tv chef and he got it right!
