Nothing happened with MR. She made the video she wanted to.
She filmed MR video right before she left for Japan. She refilmed every scene, no leftover footage like so many have claimed. The video is meant to be a love letter to her team, but I don't think it came off as that as effortlessly as she wanted. Oh well, it wasn't for the fans anyways.
But anyways, people need to stop expecting massive videos. That's not what the era is about.

It's not about massive videos. Its about videos that aren't bland. I didn't expect much from the MR video, but she still somehow managed to let me down. I love the music on Joanne, but the visuals aren't in line with the quality of the music.
Hopefully we get to hear those red one tracks one day though. Nostalgic for some good pop music. This year has been lame aside from Joanne.
