If you want her to succeed you need to understand she needs to play the game and make more appealing music without releasing generic crap, just find the right balance between artistry and commercial success. MR is a good song but sadly it won't smash and we need to be real and accept it.

'Applause' is one of her best video imo, it's not perfect but it's a great video visually, clearly it's not at the same level of TFM era but very different and artistic.

The 'G.U.Y.' video is not bad basically, but it's too long with a lot of mistakes in the editing as well and some avoidable scenes (like the resuscitations), there's always the same problem of the lack of a real director behind it, but still better of the ones of this era.



Look at the directors of 'Beyoncé' and 'Lemonade' and you're gonna find.. Jonas Akerlund (Paparazzi and Telephone), clearly Gaga wasn't the first one who worked with him, but with Gaga he did his best work and Beyoncé was smart enough to continue to work with him and others great directors.

The funny thing is that 2 months ago he said that he wanted to work with Gaga again.
Even with a simple visually thing, he would have made a great job.

It's very odd how she refuses to work with professionals, but maybe she doesn't see eye to eye with them. Maybe they're too professional and Gaga prefers to be in the trusted company of her close friends who believe in her vision.

To me the music of this era is not a problem, I love it and I'm glad that she worked with different people, MR proved that has a big potential to become a smash.

The song was top10 of iTunes just 4 days ago, in this situation a great music video would have made the difference.

About the rest I loved also the C2C era, it was on point in everything (to me at least).
