I know that I sound annoying at this point. But the video is NOT authentic like she wants it to be. Like I get what she was trying to do - showing people that she is human too and trying to establish connection on a more simple level. I get that. But the problem is that you can literally see the same video in almost all of her peers' videography - a star getting her make up done infront of mirror and crying, and if that was not emotional enough add some B&W for more dramatic effect
The main problem in recent years with Gaga is the execution of her artistic vision. And I think this is due to the lack of creative people in her team. I feel like Gaga has all of this great ideas but by the time they become into a product they have turned into something else. I remember one BTS footage of the early Monster Ball where she showed her working space while on tour and she showed like all of this drowings and ideas she has and she was able to make them because she had very talanted people behind her. And right now I feel everytime she pitched idea to her team they just jump on it and basically let her execute it all by herself without trying to elevate her vision and even make it better.
Let's take her recent music for example we have Joanne and AP both of those albums are co-produced by Gaha herself what's the difference in the one she made her executive producer a dj who had a fan favourite song on her previous album and that gave us 15 track record which didn't really know what it is, while there were some great songs on it as whole the record felt messy and not a step forward from her previous work. Now let's take Joanne which was produced by acclaimed musician - the record is coheisive, probably her most coheisive to date, the music flows very well and overall the themes of the album compliment eachother.
Both of the albums were led by Gaga's artistic vision. I think it's clear what is missing in her team right now.
