Whew, these Estonan songs were a HUGE disappointment.

“Slingshot” - great Anouk-ish song, her best Laul entry so far for me.
“In or Out” - horribly basic and boring just like anything else Elina Born has put out.
“Everything But You” – Maroon 5 called, they want their 2012 sound back.
“Suur loterii” – I love his voice, and this is a good song, but I don't think it'd do well for the contest.
“Feel Me Now” – sounds like a Felix Jaehn remix with weak ass vocals. Leave it to the radio.
“Supernatural” – basic but catchy, could do fine at the contest.
“Hey Kiddo” – too boring for me to review it properly.
“Have You Now” – a “Closer” ripoff, only with worse vocals, if that's even possible. Utter trash.
“Valan pisaraid” – chill (or cheap) version of Georgia 2016.
“Hurricane” – nice country-ish song with good vocals, not that memorable.

I like Kerli, but I'm afraid that if she sends a bland song the Estonians will choose her anyway and she'll flop at the Eurovision like Kate Ryan. The Europeans don't vote for the name, they vote for the song, and I wish people would get this. But of course I have high expectations on Kerli.

Can we take a small second to talk about how blatantly planned Emmelie De Forest's victory was in 2013? I didn't follow the Eurovision back then, but after she got signed to Universal in March 2013 YouTube kept spamming me with Only Teardrops to the point that I listened to it, loved it, and voted for it on the contest's night without giving the others a chance because it was the first time listening to the other songs

Perhaps. But she was a deserved winner tbh. 2013 was the most disappointing year since I've started watching

You must've started watching in 2012, because 2011 was truly a tragic year with only a handful of good songs in the final. And the best one, Hungary's, only came 22nd

I've been watching since 2007 (Only becoming a massive fan since about 2010, though, I guess)

2011 wasn't great either, I agree. But I had a tragic, tragic, massive crush on Eric-Saade back then. So that kinda skews things.

Jedward and Blue both made things interesting from a British perspective, and I actually liked I Can.
