Not us actually somewhat agreeing on something
I personally really like 25, but I think as we say "organic" over and over again, a lot of what we're looking for is that soul factor. I think part of its overall disappearance comes from overthinking. If you look at the earlier songs she wrote for this album, like SD and LITD, I think it's completely there. RL and MYA also feel quite intimate. But I think the process became too much of 'what are Adele songs supposed to sound like?' and/or 'what will be commercially successful?', to the point we get songs like AIA and SML that are good (okay, maybe just SML

) but missing some element of believability and heart.
Also, I think she's limiting herself tremendously with this "I'll never write songs as good as 21" attitude. It doesn't have to be a sad, soundtrack of her falling apart. In fact, it's better if it's not, when there are so many other sentiments with which she could make powerful music.
