And? I don't have to agree with every single aspect of conservatism to be a conservative. I support gay marriage, purely because I support small government and want government to get out of marriage completely. I am pro-life. I am traditional, patriotic and support a strong military. I value the culture I was raised in and want to see it maintained and respected in future communities.

It hasn't damaged us yet, if at all. The only thing that has changed is the fall in the value of the pound, which most economists agreed had been overvalued for years anyway. We will be much better outside the EU.

I remember the leader of a very right leaning party (not sure if "far right" though) in northern Europe, who was gay, was killed shortly after being elected as PM. Let me look for the link.
