Guess who slayed Cyber Monday/Black Friday?

Universal Music Canada and MusicVaultz was having a GOOD sale this week. I picked up the Maroon 5 boxset for $33 less than what I paid on Amazon, which I just received my replacement copy and I've already complained it was defective and getting my refund I also got Bryan Adams' Reckless Deluxe Box Set and Reckless Super Deluxe edition. I also got OneRepublic's Oh My my box set.

I was also debating on getting Amy Winehouse The Collection, the 8 vinyl box set, which will be under $100 shipped.

Can't see MDNA getting one as it was released on Interscope Records. Every album before then was associated with Warner Music Group, which owns Rhino Entertainment, the company doing the reissues, so Confessions, Hard Candy, and Celebration are still possibilities.

I need Celebration. It goes for so much now. If I had a time machine, I'd go back to its release and buy it by the dozen.

I would lowkey be pissed if Celebration got a repress lol. I got mine for over $100 maybe like $150 and I love the rarity of it, even though being an 'original' still old value it's like my Bedtime Stories, I liked how it was a 'wow' factor in my collection.

All told, I'm not holding my breath for Celebration, SADLY. I think a comprehensive set like that being readily available would discourage sales of all of her other releases as it would be the ONLY Madonna album a pretty big subset of the record-buying public would bother with. I think that's what's been keeping it out of print; there's less money to be made from one definitive compilation than there is from a whole series of studio albums. You know?

The Immaculate Collection hasn't been reissued, either, and I suspect it's for this same reason.

I can see them doing Confessions and HC on black 180g vinyl. I'm still so unsure about Celebration happening, despite wanting it if it does.

A Hard Candy repress would be interesting. Would they bother to include the original's 12" single and CD album? (I hope not.) Would it be issued in the same heavy tri-fold sleeve?

Would love to see this one pan out.

I regret not buying Celebration. I saw them literally EVERYWHERE but didn't buy it cause I have her albums on vinyl already plus I thought they would stick around for awhile like her recent releases. Had I known they would be rare, I would have bought multiple copies.

I admit I have a good job! I save a lot throughout the year with a regular savings and then some extra money that doesn't get spent on stuff like this goes into either my travel or concert savings. This year was murder though with all my major faves releasing and touring, so 2017 is probably a little more lowkey.
