Mariah sold more, but she's not iconic like Jlo.
JLo is a living legend, Mariah is.. was a great singer only and sold many records in her prime time, thats all. Not all people who sell records are icon etc.
JLo / Madonna and Rihanna/ Shakira are global. Mariah, not.

Mariah ain't been a thing since the 90's aside from her 4 Stan's on here the general public stopped using her over a decade ago and judging by the numbers no one wants to pay to see her either ...Since JLo stepped on the scene she's been bigger then Mariah
