This doesn't contradict anything I said. Shania Twain and the Eagles have better record sales than the vast majority of artists, but there is nothing "iconic" about them.

By the way, Jennifer's payola-driven "hits" included I'm Glad... which wasn't a hit. More importantly, the case showed that payola was mainly effective in 2002-03 and Jennifer had hits before that.

And did I not mention South Korea? Daydream is the best-selling studio album by a non-Korean artist ever there. Her impact is incredibly evident, especially "Fantasy" when it comes to H.O.T., which launched modern K-Pop. The only countries we don't really have any stats on are in the Middle East (she was paid $1M to sing for the Gaddafi family and has had hits in Israel and she has the greatest censored album covers of all-time) and India (her friendship with Jasmine Dotiwala got more coverage than anything J. Lo).
