And this is why I say she's going to retire and such. She has the right to choose her career trajectory. Her fans want her to be everywhere and forget that she is a human that must make human connections..

Britney was ~15, she was a child, she had no idea, lbr.
I'm a Gaga fan, hope you remember me from the base, I'm no hater, I understand fame is isolating but also that she had to know what comes with making pop music and becoming popular.

She always said, even during The Fame era, there's a video even before Just Dance exploding, I guess that for her, the fame is more internal than external. The Fame was just a representation of the times and how people chased famous people and what they thought of famous people and what they think could achieve through fame.
|
True but she chased the fame as well, she got what she wanted and now she'd want to be anonymous.

She did know what was coming, and she didn't complain in 2008-2011 when she was still knew and it was all so overwhelming to her and such.
But one thing is to "have an idea how it might be" and another thing is to actually be Lady Gaga the phenomenon, whose name is known by everyone (literally).
And at one point it's probably too much.

Poor thing.
I used to care for this girl when she made me happy internally and I followed her through injury and her career collapsing. She's always been full of **** but now it's just unbearable. She was a pop culture geek, followed everything going on and made a name for herself through a debut album titled "The Fame" and talked about how she felt famous even before being known at all. She was hungry for it and now she doesn't want it anymore? Come on. I'd rather she retired and went to live somewhere remote. If she was really tired of it and not trying to market herself as this relatable grandma, which is what she's doing.
I cared for her, but if she was truly such an idealist she wouldn't even be doing these interviews. Nobody cares who this girl is. Let's be honest, everybody is here for Lady Gaga the product.
I'm ranting but I have never felt more annoyed at a musician my entire life. This is like when Tomb Raider switched developers

On one hand, this is why you're rich as a celebrity and have many great things and opportunities in life that a non famous person doesn't have....because the press and fans love and follow you.
On the other hand I understand it. Especially these days when a lot of fans don't know any borders and get too close all the time. And the press is ruthless...
Me personally, I've always found my strength in spending time alone, relaxing, not feeling watched all the time. This is why I understand her. There must be a lot of pressure when you're being watched like 24/7.
Also, look how people here and on other websites look at every word she says and literally only wait for something they can pick on, out of obsessive hate they have for her.
She just wants to have an easy, friendly conversation and I totally get it

Who says she doesn't want it anymore? Why do people such as yourself refuse to acknowledge the fact that these are people? This is the career she chose for herself, but it doesnt negate the fact that it comes with its own trials and challenges. Be turned off by her aesthetic this era, thats fine. But in terms of you coming for her for just discussing her human attributes like f*ck off dude.

Says the person who stans for the ice queen that gets so bothered by petty nonsense that she'll center an albums campaign around it and perform a song by an artist that she thinks copied her worldwide for an entire tour. Its all good when Madonnas crying about ageism but god forbid Lady Gaga be human as opposed to a nihilist.

"The Fame" was obviously all about this persona of a girl obsessed with fame. can't blame you though. She nailed it.

i remember a few months ago you could hear a paparazzi in one of those videos saying something about being happy that she didnt walk around the block for more pics, because thats what she usually does.

because ageism and sexism are actual big issues. and madonna doesnt cry about it. she's critical and talks about the problem, like every freedom fighter does.

You need to reevaluate if you've "Never been so annoyed at a musician in your entire life". Are you really dense enough to not be able to fathom the concept that fame is tough and isolating?
Posts like this are so incredibly cringeworthy, ignorant, and downright embarrassing.

I don't expect you to get it either since you've been obsessively biased against her for a long while now, but is it really THAT hard for you to understand that fame is isolating and tough?
It honestly baffles me how some of you spend SO long adamantly talking against every single thing she says or does, and don't for a second try to think of her as a human being.

So you don't think it's plausible that someone extremely famous, who has been extremely famous for the past 8 years, might be growing tired of parts of it and misses being able to be anonymous? Being able to go to a bar, meet someone who doesn't know anything about you and have that authentic experience? That's literally all she's saying. It's what countless celebrities have said throughout years

Anyone here that stans for a female pop star cannot come for Gaga's complaints about fame. They all suffer immensely from fame, but very few vocalize it. Why do you think most of them are single or never find stable and long-lasting relationships?

Cackling at non-famous users dissing Gaga for expressing her emotions towards a societal situation they can't relate to; a situation that most pop stars have already expressed before.
You're totally allowed to not love every aspect of fame.
(Let it go, OGH. Let it go)

LMAO, such a valid and incredible source!
I'm sure she summons the paparazzi every time she walks her dog or goes to the studio
