I wouldn't go as far as respect but there's another side that I see anti-theists often ignore which is that, like it or not, it served as the building blocks of our society and put a code on potentially really primitive human behaviour, as well as gave us the best art, architecture, and literature in history. There's nothing inherently religious in that -- a secular society from the beginning may have achieved the same thing -- but religion was it for thousands of years.

I agree, it did. But we don't need her anymore. I garauntee you 100% if we don't slowly progress away from religion, humanity is doomed. If we only focus on what happens after we die and now what happens while we're alive, we will never get better.

Nothing that disrespects someone's existence should be respected. Religion is just a distorted, mass-fed, ****ed up version of spirituality, and it has a set of arbitrary rules, and don't's, and all major religions disrespect human beings of the basis of stuff that they don't control/choose (sexuality, biological sex), and therefore, it should NOT be tolerated/respected/practiced. People should be encouraged to practice individual spirituality, find their own personal channel of connection with their perceived Higher Power. No names, no books, just oneself and one's relationship with the dude upstairs.

Yeah, I'm the first to admit that you don't need religion today for law making or art or community (though imo places of faith at their best can still give people a wonderful sense of community and belonging). I just see a lot of people completely denounce religion and point to like the Crusades and **** while completely ignoring the ton of groundwork for our modern world that we still use, and benefit from, which came from historically religious societies.

I respect people who are smart enough to understand not to take everything literally and subscribe only to the peaceful and loving aspect of their ideology. I also only respect ideologies where people can coexist peacefully. I believe this is possible for all religion. Therefore, I respect parts of the ideology and the people that practice said parts, but do not respect people who take the teachings too literally like those mentioned in the OP.

I can respect religion even with its flaws. People should be wise enough to understand that many aspects of religious teachings such as misogyny and homophobia is archaic and plain inappropriate in modern day society and should therefore distance themselves from these specific elements of their religion.
