this game is the reason why kh3 has taken so long, why people have not lived longed enough to see it

Eeeeeeeee, I don't want to spoil myself. I guess I'm asking if the reason of the backlash is because the plot is dumb, ends incomplete, is boring, or if it's gameplay mechanics.
I'm stoked for this game, as an experience. Not so much on plot. I mean, I would love a great plot, but FF hasn't impressed me since 10 so it's not really the selling point for me.
Kingsglaive should've been a playable part of this game. A prologue to the main storyline where we get to play as Nyx until his defeat/fight with General Glauca. Not only would the game have been longer but we'd be way more invested by the time the main quest starts.
I did end up deciding to pre-order it because with my Amazon prime it's only $47 dollars, which is a great compared to the $60+ fro reg pricing. I just hope that I end up enjoying this.
I mean not alot has happend so far, but the fighting is good and the group interaction is great.
