Late af but yeah it's not like the EC makes people want to visit anything outside of a few states and they usually visit cities or large population centers anyway. If anything abolishing the EC would convince candidates to visit more states. And honestly I'm fascinated to how candiate would campaign. It would be kinda like the primaries but with more freedom. Comparable to an open world video game where you're restricted at first but once everything open up you can choose your own areas to target and train.

They don't need to do away with the EC but they do need to adjust the proportionality. It doesn't make sense that CA has 1 electoral vote for every 700,000 people and WY has 1 vote for every 100,000 people. The EC should better reflect the actual population of each state

Yeah, this at the very least. Plus this wouldn't require a constitutional amendment so it's actually possible (a shame that it's practically impossible to amend the constitution at this point in history...)

Y'all, I'm still so beyond pressed, angry, and scared that Americans were dumb enough to elect this incompetent piece of ****. We already see that this is going to be an utter disaster just by the way he's handling his transition.
