Democrats should look into Presidential and downballot races separately, no more of that coattails theory. For example, they were never going to flip Missouri, but Kander was closer to winning a seat than the candidates in the Lake states.

Popular vote works in the Philippines because of the current unitary governing structure. But when we change to Federalism, where the country will be divided into smaller governing states, we will change into Electoral Voting.
Millennial values are so drastically different from those that came before us. Can we just have our own country please? It would kick ass.

California has 38.8 million people and 55 electoral votes = 1 electoral vote per 705,000 people
Wyoming has 584,153 people and 3 electoral votes = 1 electoral vote per 194,717 people
So if California's was distributed the same as Wyoming's they would have 202 electoral votes
Arizona and Georgia were closer than they have been since the 90s, even Texas. North Carolina was the only Southern state where black turnout was lower this time, I wonder why.
I think the lower AA turnout in NC is a mixture of the GOP cutting the polling places in areas with high AA population and Hurricane Matthew devastating the poor areas of NC, which a lot of them have a high AA population.
Georgia and Arizona will definitely become swing states in the future. Southern states are getting bluer while the upper midwest is getting redder.
I've always wanted to know why the lines are so long to vote in states that have TWO WEEKS of early voting. I've never waited to go vote.
