RedOne is great, no doubt about that, but general public is not here for his sound right now, it's dated, an album full of BR or PF right now would have been successful only on gay discos, gay public and nostalgic fans.
Plus people would have said that she is desperate to get another BR at every cost, I prefer "flopping" in this way, with good and different music.
I'm pretty sure there will be another era in which she will return to her dance roots in 10 years but probably not even with RedOne.
The thing with Gaga is that she is definitely seen as a visual artist, that she is able to give her (already great) music mindblowing visuals. After 'Born this Way' she couldn't keep up the way she did before, everybody else improved their visual game so she kind of leveled. I think the music she put out is great, definitely different than her previous stuff so that could give her a fresh start with the public again. She just needs to believe in her material and keep her visual game up. The music is there, she needs to bring the visual artist everybody knows Lady Gaga can be, it's just that the music is different so she'll need another direction. "Perfect Illusion" was a cool start to her new visual persona and could very well be her "What You Waiting For?" to her 'Love. Angel. Music. Baby' for 'Joanne', so if she keeps it up this can be a huge era.
