I saw someone post in another thread that with the way things are going democrats are moving to more democratic states and less swing states. With that happening we will never win the election again if it continues to be done by the EC...

That 200,000 combined votes in 3 very populated northern states cost us the Presidency

Even if for selfish reasons, the stars have aligned for Republicans Senate/Congress/Presidency...

They have the first 2 of 4 years to get things on the right track so that they can remain in power (senate and congress) and the last 2 years so that it won't be a one term presidency.

You know they want to be the ones to boast and gloat about turning things around and will do what it takes to achieve that...and it will benefit the country...

Let's not fool ourselves into thinking that the 40%+ people eligible to vote and did not vote were so anti hillary.

A lot of Anti Hillary and Anti trump people refuse to vote for either one.
Some Dems couldn't stand behind her
Some Reps couldn't stand behind him and didn't show up

I have to kii a bit at how much the electoral college red and blue maps were used on ATRL and all over the place when it looked to be in their favor due to media manipulation favoring Clinton

IBD and LA times remained the true organic tea that didn't oversample Democrats in their polls and didn't endure the drawbacks of the Bradley effect.

What's that got to do with anything? Hillary didn't run on populist speech or fear mongering. He did because that's literally all he had. And that member asked us to imagine if there was no such speech and you'd be hard pressed to find me one selling point that's just as big in Trump.

As for the rest, *knocks on wood* because I hope I'm never that deluded and out of touch someday.

Yup Bernie sanders is easily the most powerful democrat (everyone thought it was gonna be obama 😢 ). He is the one to take the party forward and pretty much everyone he endorses will win

I'm honestly here for her retiring and becoming an occasional political commentator on MSNBC or CNN. Preferably the former. She has nothing to lose at this point. She will still be a big deal in the party imo. Any endorsements by her in future races will be considered major
