A lot of us are protesting because America just elected a demagogue - a racist, sexist, xenophobic one at it - to become the most powerful man in the world, normalizing hateful rhetorics and sending fear to minorities and people of color along the line. Dismissing their fear and anxiety as mere "feelings" is so ignorant.
