I mean, Trump's slogan was "Make America Great Again." The fact that so many people related to that after 8 years of a Black president says volumes. This country is just more backwards than we thought.

It's not only that though, I mean, it's obviously a big part of it but it's not only that. White people (& other casual Trump voters) are definitely worried about their future. You only need to look at any company with 150+ employees and they most definitely have some sort of HR outsourcing from other countries.
Like, literally in the company I work for they laid off like 20 employees from the US office and not a single one of my coworkers here in MX or in other Int'l offices was fired.
They are SHOOK & I guess a lot of people relied on the "only viable option" for them to stop this.
