I've just seen Miley's video and it hit me like a truck. I feel her, I feel her sentiment. I relate to it so much and I'm not even from the US. Let me just start by speaking about what she said about Hillary: I feel the exact same. Hillary has dedicated her entire life to the country, that woman is so prepared. Not only that, her campaign was all about inclusion, love, lgbt+ rights, equality... everything that I stand for, and for that reason, god, she inspired me so much and I was rooting for her so much that it just breaks my heart, especially when you think about the fact that 1. She probably lost because she's a Woman, 2. she lost to Donald ****ing Trump.
Now, I feel so passionate about this because, as a Venezuelan, I've seen my country, a beautiful, rich, safe, incredible country gone to ****. We are in misery. I didn't grow up like this and to see my little brother and cousins growing up in such horrific times just breaks my heart. I don't want this to happen to a country that I also love. I've grown up looking up to the US and it's been one of my biggest dreams to just go there. I feel like Obama made such huge steps for immigrants, gays, women and just equality and our rights that it just feels like a nightmare that a man that has spoken so horribly and nasty about everything I stand for is now in power of such a beautiful country. I feel you guys, and I feel your pain and I just hope that he manages to shut us all and actually do a good job, but to me he's just the American version of Chavez.
Good luck.
