Yeah, but this always happens immediately after any major event, we'd have to see if it keeps up or stabilizes. The pound and markets went to **** after Brexit too, but then stabilized a few days later.

The depression was a result of many factors that had barely anything to do with Politics if I recall correctly. The economy itself screwed up with over production and under consumption. The stock market crashed due to the bubble bursting like in 2008. Not even Democrats could have stopped it. It was like Britney's meltdown, built up over many years.
