Madonna should have used her budding celebrity to pressure Seidelman into making a few revisions to the script as production went along. 

 After all, she had no qualms whatsoever about stealing the whole entire picture itself from Rosanna, so she may as well have just scalped and robbed the poor girl of her pride completely by taking off with her man at the eleventh hour, too.
