Yeah, if she plays her cards right, she might get into some of the same demographic that stans taylor swift. It's clear that this album has opened some doors. It's a pitty that the lead single wasn't better... but I still think PI was the best choice.
Releasing MR would've been smarter but it would have created false expectations, the album only has 3 ballads and it's mostly pop influenced by some country, folk, rock... Diamond Heart is a good album track but the production is way too drawn out to be a single, even more so than in PI.
Ayo could've led peoppe to beleive she was going full on Country Pop and that's just not true.
Dancing in Circles is way too explicit and with just a SLIGHTLY different production is a song that could have been on The Fame/Monster/Artpop.
And that's it... I mean Come To Mama/Hey Girl are songs where Gaga continues her love story with the 70/80s and Hey Girl is basically a tribute to Elton, which is okay.
Angel Down, I feel that could only work as a 4th single or something like that, to close out the era with a BIG TOUCHING VIDEO in the style of Man In The Mirror. No gaga, just real world footage.
I don't think she's doing in CK because it wasn't out when they filmed
She's probably performing it on the show though. Guessing she's doing MR during CK
It says on the playiga page though featured in Carpool Karaoke, view below ... Wouldn't they have said featured in performance on Late Late Show with James Corden if that was the case?
I hope MR gets a huge boost tonight and then she decides to perform it on CMAs next week, it would bring a whole different audience to her and she'd actually be promoting the whole album.
