I hate being pessimistic but she's lowkey underperfoming in Europe, but considering there were
no promo there its good I guess, at least its still Top 5/10 in almost all of them
A-YO can be a cute hit but it'll obviously pull a Y&I and be a local mess
MR has been out for days/weeks now and its doing well for a song without radio
support and that was just performed last night for the first time
Lady Gaga in on track for her fourth No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart with her latest release, Joanne.
According to industry forecasters, the diva’s new set may launch with over 140,000 equivalent album units earned in the week ending Oct. 27. Joanne was released on Oct. 21 through Streamline/Interscope Records.
The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week based on multi-metric consumption, which includes traditional album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA). The top 10 of the new Nov. 12-dated Billboard 200 chart -- where Lady Gaga may bow at No. 1 -- is scheduled to be revealed on Billboard’s websites on Sunday, Oct. 30. (As for the Nov. 5-dated chart, where Kings of Leon are expected to debut atop the list, its top 10 is due to be announced in the afternoon of Oct. 23.)
Lady Gaga previously topped the Billboard 200 with her collaborative Tony Bennett album Cheek to Cheek, along with her solo efforts ARTPOP and Born This Way.
The likely second-highest debut on the chart will be Michael Buble’s Nobody But Me, with over 80,000 units.
I'm torn too. I wish they had waited to push A-YO because it's definitely more of a spring/summer song but they're pushing it now with a commercial and all so might as well go for it I guess! Unless for some reason it freefalls in the next few days and MR reigns supreme
#17 A-YO (combined)
#18 Million Reasons (combined)
Not her having two versions top three and two promo singles top 20 on the third day of release.
Also, saying the album is underperforming in Europe is a reach. She'll debut top five in most markets, then we have CK boost which is big WW and the global promo tour hopefully starting up.
Talking about the tour I'm very curious about it, it will definitely be a clash with people who just go for the old hits, with die hard fans and new fans.
They seem to be low balling the figure. They gave Buble 80k, which could be right considering he doesn't seem to be holding up on iTunes too well, but 140k means she would do around 110-115k traditional and considering its reign on iTunes and Amazon I can't really believe that. It would have to mean her physical sales are the pits
