It's important because u need both House and Senate to pass bills.

But it depends on what's more important to you to determine if u had to pick one chamber which would it be. The Senate approves Supreme Court Justices and Cabinet positions. The House deals with our budgets and has much more impact locally as far as who gets federal aid and as far as redistricting.

Most presidents would want a Senate because u can bypass a lot that the House does. For example, Secretary of Treasury can help her implement some of her economic agendas.

Easy, conservatives. Hillary let it be known, early on in the debate, she wants a liberal ruling Supreme Court and that has the pro-choice and pro 2nd amendment folks SHOOK. They may be "independents" or "undecided," but make no mistake, from the look of that focus group, they seemed more conservative in political beliefs. The right just don't want a liberal Supreme Court and are willing to risk the stability of our country in order to retain their Republican ruled court system.

Well it's part of Congress so they can make laws and declare, they (House) ratifies trade agreements, choose the president in event of a tie, they have veto power, etc. With both the Senate and House in the dem column, a democratic president could get a great deal done in at least 2 years. With a GOP president, he or she would be one of the most restricted president (unless they move toward the center)
