Critics have already made up their mind about her and not a lot will change it now.

Guys the album is good and it deserves to be somewhere in the 70s, but don't act like it deserved a 90 and they aren't giving it to it just because they dislike Gaga. That's delulu.

If it ended somewhere between 55-65 then I would agree they're being unfair to her.

the critics are biased for sure. some of them care about the whole package with the artist more than the album itself

For example, Lemonade (92).
If it wasn't for the hype, the self-title and the Lemonade film, it would be around 75-85.

And 25 (75).
the hype and commercial success make it even better than what it is... mess at rolling stone even stated it as the #2 best album of the year.

true and also like she gets so much flack for doing a singer-songwriter-y vibe for this album (with Slant calling it unearned) when really she's the only major pop girl to write/co-produce all of her music so like who has earned it more than her? like how does she get no credit for actually crafting all of her music herself when all of these other basic pop girls get credit for the music that they don't even create themselves

It's only two reviews this far though, and I expect this album to have a lot of mixed reviews. It's new, it's different, and it's Lady Gaga. Maybe if this were 2010, when people loved her!
