PAK is the same as music shows in that the timing of the release is very important. The less competition, the better your chances are. PAKs are cute indicators of digital success and most songs that get PAKs are huge hits. Music show awards, on the other hand, are manipulated a lot and pretty much irrelevant. The randomest of boy groups can win only because they moved more albums and got more fan votes than their comp. And the shows stay bringing in only 0.5% ratings.

If I were a BG stan, I probably won't care about PAKs because my faves can not get one but I know damn well they're extremely popular.

However, if I were a GG stan, my fave snatching a PAK would signify that they are a huge trend and has snatched a huge hit for themselves. Of course, that doesn't mean that a song without a PAK is not a huge hit, but it's just a plus point like someone mentioned.

But digitals are the bread and butter for GGs aside from legends like TWICE. No one is gonna call BTS flops. Getting a PAK just means your name holds huge weight in the digital chart, it basically means every song you release the public will check it out and it has a 99% chance to succeed. Whereas for other groups they need a REALLY REALLY good song to get a hit.

It's been an hour since they revealed that and there haven't been any more, so I'm guessing that's the only one.

It's not unusual for them to only use one member for the cover though, since Hyuk was the only one on the Chained Up album and N for Hades.
