I wouldn't say that. Work isn't half as appealing or Grammy bait as Happy, no matter if it spent 9 weeks at #1. And Rihanna isn't the Grammy darling Pharrell is. He can win over Swift or Sam Smith, she can not. It could go either way between Bey and Rih and I still think that Bey has bigger chances

She only served vocals on Pretty Hurts these past 2 era's.. every other time has been a little bit cute vocals here and there e.g Drunk In Love, No Angel, All Night... maybe Pray You Catch Me... but where are Start Over type of vocals huh?? Where's Love On Top-esque vocals, Where are Listen vocals??

Formation is the most minimalistic vocals she's ever given, even "Say I, look so good toniiigght" was better than "I dream it, I work hard, I grind till I own it" :/

I've never understood the complaint of y'all wanting her to actually "sing". Its like y'all really want her to be one note and bland. If you don't think she's serving vocals on 6 Inch, DL, LD, Freedom, hell even SC, than I have nothing to say. Hell even Rocket goes off. The argument just makes no sense to me. There's more to singing and serving vocals than power ballading through a song. A true vocalist knows this, that's why Bey serves variety and most importantly range.

Stay listening to the old stuff, I guess.

SOTY supposedly focuses on the songwriting (and overall impact of the lyrics hence Single Ladies winning) while ROTY is all about the production
