Why would it, though? What percentage of the Democratic party is straight white men? Not saying that everyone votes on racial/gender lines, but the nominee should look like the party.
I kinda think that if there's any truth to the rumors about Corey Booker being gay/bi then he needs to come out if he wants a chance at the presidency. Conservatives would probably try to tear him apart over a "secret gay past" and I don't know how liberals would feel about him being in the closet because it's politically advantageous to be. I guess the same goes for any other LGBT+ politicians tbh.
