Muslims aren't a true minority and they're not a race, you choose your religion and you can't be oppressed by something that is a choice. It's nothing like sexuality or race which are inherent.
However I do agree that there is prejudice towards Muslims and ignorance from some people, but they are not an oppressed group.

I was merely pointing out how hypocrite you were, because while you're right to call out generalizations you make them too, and very often. And this point stands.
Your video is on point, although coming from an european view point, the racialization of terrorism do not exist, but I guess every society has its representation of "evil". The "natural" (pains me to say it) perpetuator of author of a terrorist attack is always a muslim person until proven otherwise (or not).
It's pretty sad that we all learn to live with this imaginary representation of "evil" and "good", that the media recreate on so many levels. First it's wrong to the category/community of people that's deemed as "evil" in the society, but it also make it impossible to take proper disposition when the terrorist does come from that category/community because a large group of people will deem it as racist/islamophobia..
If Atheists with hard-on's for science can share their views, Agnostics who think there is extremism and fallacies in the science community should be able to share, no?
Being an Atheist doesn't automatically make one a follower of the science community. The idea of such is silly and probably why some of the opinions are so off-putting. Not all lose faith or never had faith due to some powerful revelation due to science. A lot of Atheists are often those who face religious persecution, ie: gay people, so it's especially offensive the way science is discussed here as an ultimate truth when the way science has been used throughout decades to medicalize gay people and justify our mistreatment.
Anyone with even a hint of LGBT history knows that science & religion are sisters that have held hands for centuries in oppressing communities, so the way people discuss science so brazenly is.. odd and even terrifying, and the idea that the space for Atheists and Agnostics is such a circle-jerk for alt-rights to misuse scientific processes to enable their behavior is sad. The worst type of faux-Atheist is an alt-rightist misappropriating science to feel smart and correct in their awful bigotry.
The Atheists fighting for secular worlds and liberation of all people are silenced by the types of people who need Atheism to protect them like a child needs their blanket in a way only an ideology can (just like religion does for religious folks - the irony) and it shows in the emotionally immature behavior like taking pride in telling religious folks they're "stupid" or alt-right buzz topics.
It is very inaccurate and dishonest to associate the alt-right with atheism, the overwhelming majority of alt-right figures are religious. Being critical of the far left or of SJWs does not make you an alt-righter, or even right wing. Some of the strongest critiques come from centre-left or centrist aligned people like Sam Harris or Richard Dawkins. You're just trying to demonise and silence those critical of religion/Islam by throwing them in with the racists and the white supremacists, typical far-left tactic.

Except Dawkins of Harris aren't being posted about - amateur alt-right Youtubers are. Don't post alt-right racist propaganda if you don't want to be called an alt-right racist. Duh. The irony two since both men have a view key political views that contradict the alt-right opinions expressed b certain thread posters.

This is a great point!
We as Atheists, Agnostics, or simply secular society preferring people need to unpackage and unlearn any internalized views we've been taught re: the racialization of certain religions in order for us to truly make actually good and truthful critiques in religious texts or societies.
We can only help society progress by first progressing ourselves. A secular society must also be a liberated society free of classism, racism, homophobia, sexism, ableism, etc. It is on the shoulders of Atheists and Agnostics to strive for liberation of all people, not oppress them in just different ways. What a great discourse.

I never denied Israel doing any crimes honey, it's what you came to your false conclusion when I responded back to you accusing Israel of everything in a thread, and you denying what Palestine and other muslims are doing back against Israel.
