EDIT: Obviously this is from a "how does the world consume kpop" perspective. More people are consuming kpop than before, but it's more like "Twice and BTS have many views", than "Kpop is more prolific"
Yeah it's kind of strange how strictly single fandom a lot of Twice & BTS stans are. Idk if it's the same case with Twice, but I've noticed there's a lot of ARMYs who have no interest at all in K-pop & only got into it because of BTS
gg's are dominating Korea more than ever, or just as equally as they were before. the Korean market is fairly healthy when it comes to interest into KPop, some people exaggerate, as if any other country has as much pop power. a lot of the biggest hits of the year were PURE KPop the GP is still interested and buying it
except KPop is now bigger across Asia and WW than it was in 2011
The Titan of Kpop has been unleashed, a start of a whole new era in Kpop, and this is just the beginning! Can't wait for all the negative comments tomorrow on pann, etc
Kinda crazy that EXO is going into their 6th year time flies
they celebrated their 4th year anniversary this year tho? or are you talking about pre-official official debut or something? They're only 1 year older than BTS and 2 years older than GOT7. They're not that far apart. They just achieved so much so quickly.

On teh otehr hand back then kpop might not be so global but it was huge in korea and other Asian countries thats why groups liek rainbow, nine muses, dal shabet, crayon pop are still alive.....
i mean look at how many groups got disbanded recently despite getting bigger in west! i mean if west cant save 4 minutes it wont help way smaller groups...
I guess you have a point but with a lot of those groups that disbanded, it is more about them falling off or not catching on rather than the GP not being interested in kpop anymore. A lot of the groups in this video only lasted a year or 2 years.

half true imo
kpop is still popular but the market is smaller so it doesnt allow many players... thats why we have fewer big groups these days....
