There's this discussion on my TL about 2NE1, SNSD and Wonder Girls and which one are the "Queens of kpop". I voted WG but was surprised they were in last place with only 9%... I'm a "new NEW generation" fan and even I know better. I assume 2NE1 and SNSD are more successful in terms of sales but I feel like WG helped in setting things off when it comes to kpop in the US. didn't they have a movie?

I knew that "Nobody but you [clap clap]" song before I even knew what kpop was. I've never looked it up but I just know it (I don't know how)

Maybe because they were everywhere even in BET promoting it. And toured with the Jonas Brothers with that song.

Suho is basically wins, but Chanyeol is just very magnetic and has been storming up the list behind Suho, and Sehun is still in the running because he's a sis.

Wonder Girls and 2ne1 were the 1st 2 groups I was introduced to. BoA was my 1st K-pop act though.

I feel like 2NE1 was everyone old enough to be around for the 2nd gen's 1st K-pop group. Now it's probably BTS or Got7.


Wonder Girls would've been bigger than snsd/2ne1/kara/t-ara combined had they not tried to break the US, but they introduced K-pop to a wider audience selfless legends. Still the nation's gg btw
